Happy First Day Of Summer!!!

Summer is officially here and to celebrate I have joined an amazing group of bloggers to share with you how we have all decorated our homes for the season. This Simply Summer Home Tour will be sure to provide you with lots of great summer decorating ideas for your own homes. At the end of this post you can find a list of all of the other bloggers participating, and you should know, these are all blogs that I follow and am inspired by daily, so I just know you will be too.
A big thank you to our lovely host, Nina Hendrick for putting it all together.

New lighting ideas for our Kitchen, Which would you pick?

I recently gave our kitchen a new look by painting the walls white. As you probably know, the walls were a teal color before.  I'll be back soon to share more of the room with you. Today, I wanted to talk about kitchen light fixtures.

You're probably familiar with the light fixture I have hanging in our kitchen currently.  I created these light shades using a pair of wicker food covers. And as you can see, they too recently got painted white.

Seasonal Simplicity Home Tour - Our Outdoor Spaces

Only two more weeks until it's officially summer!  Although I've been calling it summer ever since my boys got out of school a few weeks ago because it definitely already feels like summer around here; Long sunny days, bbq's, sprinklers, baseball, and all of the other fun stuff that comes along in summer time. I love summer! How about you?

Today, I'm joining some blogging friends for our week long Summer addition to the Seasonal Simplicity Home Tours, hosted by April and Krista. At the end of this post you can find all of the other bloggers links, so if you're anything like me and love to peek inside other peoples homes to see how they decorate for the seasons, then you'll definitely want to follow along.

A Rustic Beach House Chandelier Makeover

I have been busy working on a few projects in our dining room and today I want to share one of those projects with you.  I gave our traditional chandelier a little beach-house inspired makeover and I think it turned out pretty darn cute.

Teacher Gift

Happy May!

My boys get out of school at the end of the month and I'm blown away because that is just weeks away!  Where does the time go?  My boys are pretty excited to get started on their summer vacation but they are also a bit sad to have to say goodbye to their teachers. They both have such wonderful teachers and so I have come up with a sweet little gift that they can give to them on the last day of school.

A Bathroom Refresh Using All-Natural Cleaning Products

I heard a quote once that has stuck with me ever since. It goes something like this, "Want to love your home? then clean it."
I believe this quote to be so true. I always appreciate a space in our home more after I have taken the time to clean it. There's something so uplifting about walking into a room that has just been cleaned; Especially if it's a room that was really needing it, like say, a boys' bathroom.  :)

Delicious Egg Salad Quesadilla

This Sunday is Easter, so chances are you may end up with a few hard boiled eggs at your house that need to be to eaten up. Today, I have a delicious recipe to share with you that will have all of those extra hard boil eggs gone in no time.

Creating A Margarita Bar & A Refreshing Kiwi Lime Margarita Recipe

With the warmer weather that spring and summer brings, always calls for the delight of a cold refreshing drink. My favorite cold drink has got to be a nice crisp margarita. What about you, Do you also love a good margarita? If you answered yes, then today's post is especially for you!

Framed Easter Table Place Cards

With Easter coming up in just a few short weeks, I wanted to share this cute and simple craft with you. I shared this last year over at City Farmhouse, but in case you missed it, or forgot about it, I thought I'd share it again here on my own blog so that you too can create these  adorable framed bunny place cards for your tables this Easter.

Project Fail! Picture Frame Garden Markers

Sometimes great ideas come to me that turn into neat projects that I share with you, and other times great ideas come to me that turn out to be complete fails and they never get shared.

Just today, I was going through my picture files, and I came across this project that I did last spring, but never shared it with you.  This project could have been genius, but it didn't work out so great in the end. Because I still think this is a cool idea, I wanted to share it with you anyway, and maybe, just maybe, you can come up with a new solution on how it can work out better. I'll share what went wrong and the rest is up to you.

Okay, so for this project, I started out with four 3.5 X 5 picture frames from the Dollar store, and four paint stir sticks.
I removed the glass and backs of the frames, and painted the frames and sticks in a white spay paint.
